Urban Grace places a particular significance on the poor, marginalized, and oppressed and seeks to reach out through providing services that meet immediate needs as well as supporting, collaborating, and developing efforts to strive for justice and equity for all who live in our city.
The weekly Community Breakfast, run by Willie Stewart, is a unique way to meet those in need in the community. Every Sunday for almost 30 years, over 250 people are served a free, hot breakfast along with warm hospitality.
Join us at the ‘Soulfull Benefit Concert’ on Saturday November 9th, doors at 6pm, concert starts 630pm. The night will feature local Tacoma musicians who are all donating their time to put on a memorable concert to benefit the Community Breakfast by contributing proceeds and increasing awareness. Artists will include: Michael Lauckner Thomas, Tara Chugh, Victoria Fragoso, Kortney Dowdell, and Karen Laura Peters.
Hosted by driver of ‘The Peace Bus’, and humanitarian, Kwabi Amoah-Forson, along with keynote speaker, educator, veteran, youth advocate, community pillar, and devoted volunteer, Willie Stewart.
Tickets are donation based, with a suggested donation of $25+. School-age kids can use the ticket labeled: SOCKS to enter for free by bringing a clean pair of socks at the door, to later be passed out to breakfast guests on Sunday. (Additional sock donations from any attendee would also be greatly appreciated).
