This free event celebrates Tacoma’s diverse collection of religious architecture, as well as the contributions each congregation has made to the development and vitality of the City. Participants will enjoy building tours, exhibits and music, while viewing soaring architectural spaces, stunning stained glass and hand-carved detailing.
Visitors will have the opportunity to go inside eight historic sacred places throughout Tacoma. Each building will be open to the public from 1pm-4pm and include various highlights such as art, music, and storytelling. Maps will be provided at each location.
Participating congregations include: Christ Episcopal; First Church of Christ, Scientist; Immanuel Presbyterian, St. Luke’s Memorial Episcopal; Peace Lutheran; Temple Beth El; Bethany Presbyterian; and Urban Grace.
